Mr IrelandEffective for shortening 11 spd Shimano chains.
Mr Yung ChunEasy to use.
Mr GatehousePerfect for the job don’t waste your time on cheap alternatives.
danielThis item is expensive but worth every penny. It makes something that can be incredibly difficult, even with the right tool, very straightforward. Breaking a chain link with this is a complete doddle, the effort required is minimal thanks to the large handle.
The materials used and design are both very high quality, so it should last, too. Should of bought one a long time ago; no need to visit bike shops now, with their prohibitively high prices, for a new chain.
MarkGood product, excellent leverage can be achieved due to large handle.
GeoffBest chain tool I have used. Pin is more suited to the Shimano type than others. Guess it should be as it is made by Shimano. Has the end hole to break off the excess, but no chain holder.
Mr ImparaBest chain tool I've tried; really like the feel of the handle.
JohnBreaking Shimano 11 speed chainwith this, to install YBN link, was easy-peasy.
Mr ClatworthyQuality product. I haven't tried the Park equivalent but I don't imagine that it's better.
moranExcellent service as usual. Great tool made the job very straightforward
Mr ArimbuyutanWas easy to use and the handle is very comfortable.
WatsonA bit more expensive than some tools that you can buy but it is good quality and makes the job easier than some other brands
MousleyVery impressed with the ease this tool breaks the chain having struggled with a generic one. Does make me think shimano have made the chain deliberately hard to break without this tool.
But works wonderfully.
Dr HallGreat tool - very easy to use (and I have trouble with my hands)
