This replacment pin will enable you to re-join your Shimano chain. Price is per pin.
Matt BWorth carying as a spare.
Mr MeredithPerfect. Did what I wanted.
PHandy spares to have in your pack when a chain breaks. Easy to install and low cost.
Mr kormasStandard reliable chain pin
SomersetExcellent value for money and easy to use
Mr CrawfordI had problems the first time I used a Shimano pin but this time it was dead simple.
HartNot too much you can say other than your bike won't move without them. Good quality at a decent price.
DietzEasy to use. Recommend these.
EdgeworthMaybe a bit overpriced for what it is but Merlin offer the best price around so cant argue with that :) Does the job and if you are extending/fixing or decreasing chain length then this is required as a standard pin will just cause the chain to snap a few pedals down the trail! Which isn't great :)
Mr PatchBought as a spare, have worked well in the past, just take time to install it right and you shouldn't have any problems.
Mr BryceBit pricey for what it is but less fiddly than "missing link"
Mr GriffithsLight but very strong. Did exactly what I needed it to.
seahogNot much to say. Chain connection pins. They do what they are supposed to. Some people prefer the quick links. They certainly do have their advantages (namely, no need for tools as long as your chain is the right length) but I like the pins. I must have become old school somewhere down the road, I guess. They were a little bit pricy. Most other vendors offer dicounts on a bag of 5 or more but I was in need of some of these and got a good price on the more expensive parts of my order so all is good.
Mr EhmanThese are a must have in the tool box! I think they should cost less though.
Mr PickersgillEasy to fit, you can never have to many of them in your spare box
Mr HawesThese do what they say and very well, just remember to get the right ones, ie. ten speed for ten speed, which I did this time !
Bikeboy29There is nothing particularly wrong with this product, but I finally realised why the Sram Powerlink is such a great invention, as I struggled to get the pin straight in the chain link. Shimano chains are high quality but the linkage system seems a bit agricultural compared to KMC and Sram's take. But if you you want to stick with tradition, these do the job.
Mr WalshAfter using a few of these on different chains I find them as easy as joining links.
Mr GilbertGood quality and consistent manufacturing tolerances
Mr O HeathAnother Shimano product that works perfectly. These things pop on in 20 seconds with a decent chain tool and snapping off the surplus is a breeze too. I've even tapped one in with a large pebble - the chamfered edge helps. Could be cheaper but you don't tend to use them very often. All in all if you prefer not to use a SRAM powerlink and want a more invisible join these do the job and do it well. TIP: if your new link seems 'stiff' you've pushed the pin too far through so just ease back the other way to free it off.
Mr HAMPSHIREerrm...its a chain pin and its like sat in my saddle pack...and finger crossed i'll never use it!
BigBarnJust works! No fuss for fitting chain at home. Cheap and cheerful...
Mr FreireNot much to tell. perfect for its use
Mr ManningEasy to use.
Jon_GNo issues with these, actually pretty straightforward to install and it hasn't given way yet!
Mr ClareGreat to have as a spare in saddlebag along with a powerlink as it adds no weight but can save a ride following a broken chain.
Mr AshcroftA good quality, well machined product
Mr DolbyFive star advice, products, service and delivery as usual from Merlin Cycles. I will use them again.
Mr WeissI always keep spares and only use original spare parts for optimum performance.
