Our Merlin RC1 shoes are an affordable, entry-level road cycling shoe which are comfortable, offer a secure fit and are particularly versatile providing compatibility with all major clipless pedal systems. The Merlin RC1 road shoe is ideal for beginners and enthusiasts alike.

- Light weight rigid nylon sole with small vent
- Durable synthetic leather upper with breathable mesh panels
- Stiff heel cup to keep your foot firmly in place
- Padded inner on heel and ankle cuff for increased comfort
- Toe and heel tread blocks on sole for enhanced grip off the bike
- SPD, SPD-SL and Look cleat compatible

Because I have a broad fitting I normally go for heavier off roads type shoes, however there is plenty of room across the toes in these shoes. I have covered about three hundred miles wearing these now, they are easy on and off feel nice and lite with good rigidity in the sole.

bryan Mounts for mountain bike and road bike cleats.. lovely quality and looks considering the low price, well vented, a bit too vented for my cold feet, I've covered the 2 vents in the sole... I'm usually a 44 but I'm a 45 in these.. I just ordered 2 pair and returned the ones that didn't fit, return n refund procedure is fast and efficient ..as good as top branded shoes at a fraction of the cost
