Ass Savers Speed Mullet Regular Front Mudguard
The Ass Savers Mullet regular front mudguard will keep your feet happy! Mounts in seconds on basically any bike, regardless of frame size or cables. The long downward reach makes sure it's busy were it really counts.
Universal fit
The attachment of the Speed Mullet is done in seconds with a single 2-in-1 velcro strap. Big fat carbon frame or thin steel frame doesn't matter. The design of the folds makes sure that correct angle is achieved every time on every bike.
Cable management
What puts the Speed Mullet above the rest is the cable routing feature. Utilizing two shallow channels to let the cables pass between the frame and mudguard, it's compatible with the majority of existing cable combinations.
Use it anywhere
Whether you are dodging traffic in a wet downtown rush hour or grinding the endless gravel in the rain, the Speed Mullet is your new haircut.
Features:
- Universal fit for all bike types
- Cable routing friendly
- Mounts in seconds, without tools
- Suitable for 23-42 mm tires
BenServes a good purpose to keep the majority of mud and spray off of your feet. Not as good as full length but the advantage of being able to move further away from the wheel if using different sizes is a bonus.
Ben JewellGreat bit of kit. Small, light and easy to carry and set up. Does a great job of keeping you clean and dry and bad conditions. Nice that it can be carried and quickly attached if the weather is unsettled.
Mr BellGreat little mudguard, while it would be ideal to have a longer Velcro strap to accommodate the larger frame. It does fit my Specialized Sirrus X 5.0 and provides the desired retention and protection from water and dirt.
DCA novel approach to a front mudguard and have been very impressed so far. Easy to put on/take off and a great solution for front mud guards.
AndrewI like this one but attaching to the down tube is only ever going to be OK. More annoyingly, the velcro strap is barely long enough to get round my downtube so I have to tape over the velcro.
Sean JoachimI do like this - as it is light weight and broad - providing great coverage. It is ideal in that it is light and can be carried in a bag. Ideal for commuting!
CZEasy to setup, very stable will cover up to 40mm tire
CraigIf you're looking for a front mudguard that's easily fitted & removed and doesn't take up room inside your forks then this is your option. I recently fitted one on a custom build cheapy CX / gravel type bike and it's definitely massively reduced the amount of front wheel splatter that's making it onto me. It's not perfect, if it clips something it will move on the tube but it takes 2 second to put in back in place by hand and with no 'fixed' mounting point that's going to happen, best of all though it's called an Ass Saver Speed Mullet and for that reason alone you need to own one.
