Fizik Aria R3 Road Shoes
Double boa racer shoe with carbon outsole and volume control fit for a combination of comfort and performance. The R3 Aria’s Microtex upper is hard-wearing, light, and resilient with enough flexibility to ensure comfort for every rider’s foot, but strong enough to withstand the demands of racing – without any weight penalty. The diamond-shaped laser-cut perforations help temperature management and breathability. The laser perforated mircrotex upper is breathable and cleans up really well.

- Volume control: The lower Boa controls toe box volume. The offset position means the front of the shoe wraps across the foot making it much more adaptable to different foot shapes.

David WallisI’ll submit a more detailed review after I’ve ridden a few miles with these shoes but first impressions are very good. They fit true to size, I’m a 42 in regular shoes and these fit very nicely in a 42. The Boa dials are spot on for micro adjustment and the wrapover front works well for my feet- other designs really gape at the front. Great quality, and the sole feels really thin.

Dr GordonExcellent shoes, very stiff. Slight warning about sizing - I'm a UK 11 and fizik advise you to size up so I went with the 46, or 11.25. these felt too big unfortunately so had to return for a 45.5 (10.75) which were more like it. Great adjustability and look really sleek.

Mr ChrisBought a size 45, I'm a size 10/45 in normal shoes and my other Sidi and Giro shoes, the R3's in size 45 are much larger than those, I can actually fit a finger down heel cup when they're on! My advice is to go one size smaller, but be prepared to have to return if in between sizes. Also a size 45 shoe was 298gms, a lot heavier than I was expecting.
DannypsmythGreat looking shoes, hard wearing (so far) and easy to adjust. Very light with very stiff sole. I have wide feet so went for 44 rather than my usual 43.5. Comfortable so far, a little stiff at the front of the ankle but I'm hoping this will soften over time.

Mr PhimisterSuper happy with these shoes. Had a previous version (lower model) Fizik's in the past but decided to upgrade to the R3's. Could not be happier. The Dual boa setup allows you to dial in perfectly. The shoe is also super stiff (carbon sole) which allows you to really give it some in the saddle. The heel cup has a great semi sticky pad where your sock won't ride/rub. Highly recommend.
Mr BurnellThis is a superbly comfortable shoe, partly due to the boa dial fastenings. Fit for me was just right, as per the size chart. Expensive? A top class premium shoe, lightweight, stiff and comfortable for even the longest rides or hardest races.

Mr StanleyInitial reaction when I got these out the box was that they are a very nicely made shoe and look good too. Locking system works well and they are very comfortable, which is always an issue as I have wide feet. I bought these as I had difficulty in setting up the cleats on my Mavic shoes. Positioning of the cleat receptacles are not too far forward on the R3s and I now have the ideal shoe set up for me. I would recommend these shoes so far, although I haven't spent 5 hours+ in them yet.

DanLove the BOA system. Feels comfortable, light and stiff
Mr TanShipping to Singapore took 2 weeks, which was slower than the stated 8 working days, but the stiffness of this shoe provides really phenomenal power transfer through my pedals (upgraded from nylon sole). No need to worry much about the discrepancies in shoe sizes either - the dual boa dials allow a lot of leeway for tightening, so getting a slighter larger size shouldn't be a problem. Fit was great too, the included fizik insole was very suitable for people with flat feet like me.

Mr QuickWhat a cracking pair of shoes. Sizing is spot on, plenty of room to wiggle my toes and the dual boa system allows good adjustment for my high arches.
RFCCI have a normal/wide foot (6’3” @ 105kg for perspective) and always struggled to find the correct shoe. This shoe is as good as it gets, I’m size 11, and size 11 fits perfectly (just like the perfect Asics trainers!). If you’ve never tried Fizik, you must. There is no doubt about my next pair, Fizik all the way. Oh, and importantly they look and feel fantastic.

They fit very well ... I have high arches and narrow feet.
They don't have a tongue, but use a wrap over style ... I was surprised at how comfortable this was.
The Boa dials are great and can be used to both loosen and tighten the fit.
They look great ... very stylish.
On the bike, they feel very 'connected' and secure, the heel cup holds my foot nicely without any heel lift.
Overall a great shoe.
