Fizik Aliante R3 Kium Road Saddle
Fizik launched the first Aliante in 1999. During the intervening fifteen years it has become one of the most loved and favoured saddles in the world, by both pros and enthusiasts alike.
If you have a relatively low degree of spinal flexibility (more than 90 degrees between your straight legs and back when bending over as far as you can, keeping your legs straight a shoulders' width apart), you are a Bull. Your degree of Spinal flexibility will top out quite quickly when attempting to adopt the performance position. For this reason you will rotate you pelvis fully.

Mr JohnstoneI'd previously had the Arione but using the Fizik website I found I should using an Aliante. Much more comfort and positioning, so take Fizik advice before chosing. Well made and worth the money.
Mr DuncanMy favourite saddle. Light and comfortable. I used the old Aliante Gamma for years, but this is even better.
RustyWish I had bought this earlier. This saddle is super comfortable. I'm a bull (according to Fizik sizing), long rides are a breeze, zero pain. Can't recommend highly enough.
Mr TeeMuch more comfortable than my stock saddle. No regret in getting this.
WILLIAMI have owned saddles from many different manufacturers and this one works better than any other I have owned. If you have a bigger physical frame and could use a wider saddle without giving up performance or adding a bunch of weight I would strongly recommend this.
Mr Moya AlgabaBig comfort, big quality, correct weight. I had a Fizik Arione but I'm a "bull", so this saddle is much better for me. Happy.
Mr LambertWas having saddle issues and thought to try this as a solution. My usual saddle is an Arione R3, and spent a season on the Antares R3 as well (which is my prescribed Fizik saddle based on flexibility). Fit wise, the Aliante works just as well. The R3 is the right balance of cost-to-benefit ratio and I think it is a fine saddle. I do like that it tilts me forward more and I find that I have less perineal pressure with this saddle as I can scoot back (and up). Also, I find that I tend to get irritation with the Antares and Arione, that is not duplicated with the Aliante. As always, saddle fit is so personalized that any advice other than riding it yourself is probably useless. I will end with saying that the anthracite color is anthracite (i.e., not black). It is a perfect match for my 2016 CAAD 12 frame, so I love it, but if you are looking for a straight black, do not get the anthracite version. Weighted 222 grams on my scale, so pretty bang on.
KyleGreat saddle. Light and comfortable. I replaced my Gamma version of the same one and put that saddle on another bike. This one is a little lighter but otherwise the same. The main part of the seat is very dark grey, not black. It's not shiny or slick, so it really keeps me anchored to the bike, which I like.
AidanHard to review a saddle, I really like it but it may not work for you. More comfortable than an Arione or Arione VSX. A word of warning the anthracite colour is more of a matt grey colour than the photo shows.
TaylorI ordered this to replace the saddle on my second (Winter) bike to match the one I already have on my Summer bike... The Aliante (Bull) saddle fits my riding style well - It's a quality item purchase from Merlin at a great price and delivered quickly. I recommended anyone interested in a Fizik saddle to check out their web site first so you can correctly match the right saddle shape that fits your back/stretch ability/riding style.
Mr RoosI have the R1 on my road bike and bought this seat for my mountain. It has proven to be very comfortable and good value for money
Steve WarburtonVery comfy saddle not the lightest but comfort is more important to me
Mr PresslerThe Fizik Aliante saddle is great, just what I needed for long rides. Did my first 40 mile/64 kilometers, ride and the saddle was very comfortable the whole way. Thanks Merlin
Mr kendallGreat saddle at a good price, only had 3 rides since purchase but as yet no numb rear end...bring on the summer long rides
Mr millerPut this seat on and went for a 50mile ride out. It was so comfortable, wish I'd bought this sooner.
