Mudhugger Shorty Front Guard
Most mountain bikers now accept that a good front mudguard makes sense to reduce the amount of mud or spray flying up off the front tyre and into your eyes, glasses or goggles. Not only is it much safer, it's also more comfortable (think, hurtling down a fire road at 30mph and being pebbledashed in the face by lovely welsh grit and mud) and means you can ride faster more safely.
At only 60g in weight and 340mm long you won't even notice it's there due to tyre hugging profile. Don't be deceived by its stealthy looks though, the Shorty still offers awesome mud and spray protection in all but the very worst riding conditions helping to keep your line of vision down the trail clear.
Mr Friend Pretty sturdy, easy to fit, not overly heavy and fits reasonably large tyres. Id say it catches about 90% of the stuff flying off the front wheel but at speed that last 10% is enough to still require glasses / goggles on a wet day.
Richard L These are amazing. Living in the PNW it's just like England...Lots and lots of mud in the winter. I wouldn't ride half as much without these on the front of my bike.

DXS Best mudguards I’ve had, brilliant design.
Mr Oliver Cool mudguard, works really well, much better than the small plastic ones but still looks really slick. Worth noting that although this is not reverse arch compatible (eg Manitou forks) its very easy to modify to fit by by cutting some extra holes with a craft knife where needed. I've been using it on a Manitou Mattoc and it works great.
Vinniebiker The shorty is the sweetest front guard that I have used. has WAY better coverage than the typical front guard by a hundred other brands and names. AND it is just short enough to look real cool on your ride! again super value from Merlin.

Mr Alonso Perez I liked the product very much, it adapted perfectly to a 27'5-inch wheel fork, it seems to me of good material, resistant and also makes the bicycle very attractive physically, perhaps the worst, price is somewhat high for being a single unit.
