WLTFor the most part, the wheels are comfortable, fast and run true out of the box. They make a satisfying metallic whirring noise when riding at speed, almost like the sounds of opening up a gas valve. They’re fairly easy to set up tubeless with one tyre managing to pop in place even without CO2 or a booster pump. However, it took several days of test riding and settling before sealing adequately. Several weeks in, the rear wheel still loses pressure faster than I’d like, possibly due to the preinstalled rim tape being less than optimal, but that’s tubeless for you! Unlike on TLR rims, it was much easier to install or remove tyres with just thumb power. Disappointingly, the freehub on this wheelset seems to be a sealed unit, and therefore not easily serviceable. I’m paranoid about any signs of gritty freehub noises or any hint of sluggish pawls. In hindsight, I’d pay a bit more to get a wheelset with a user serviceable freehub, but as a budget wheelset, they are excellent value for money.

MightymessVery good so far on my gravel bike. Great bargain at half price. Seems like a good build and the 22 inner width means 38c tires sit well. Wheels were true as well. Good value for money to be honest. Time will tell.

Mr LoewI had great difficulty in sourcing new replacement wheels for my bike, until someone said get in touch with Merlin. They were not wrong, not only is the product a brilliant I have tried and tested them and they are perfect and the price was extremely competitive. Merlin were very fast from ordering to delivery, packing was absolutely perfect, made for wheels. I cannot fault, in any way, both the product and Merlin. I will use them all the time going forward.
Mr T SmithSo far so good, cycled 50km in the past two days since swapping out an old set of wheels that came with my Specialized Allez. Feel sturdy, rear hub sounds good but isn't obnoxiously loud. Fitted a set of Conti Ultra Sport II on them which have inspired a lot of confidence. The first set I received were dinked in transit but Steve organised speedy collection and a replacement set arrived a few days later which was very much appreciated.

Mr LegaultI ordered a pair and they are very nice looking. They arrived very quickly. The only things I would really have to maybe pick at would be the weight, as they are a little on the heavy side, and secondly, some of the spokes on the wheels seemed to have paint issues (chunky paint as well as missing paint) which I worry might cause a little surface rust. However, I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend buying.
WillGreat quality wheel, only done about 300km on them so far but they're good and sturdy and ran smooth out of the box. For the price you can't go wrong.

Mr TahiThe bearings are a bit harsh, not as smooth as a shimano hub with the same cone system. The look is absolutely super. One of the best looking wheels for this money... however I don't know the black layer on the brake surface will last long or not.

ShanaanI noticed the difference straight away. Not really the lightest but they definitely push. The hub sounds loud but not enough to bother me. I checked between my friend's Aksiums's and the Team 30 (since they are in the same budget range), the Team 30 wheels are definitely better than the Aksiums. Build quality is quite good cause after a lot of off-roading even the wheels are still true and no damages on any of the spokes as well.

B. ChisumThese might not be the lightest wheelset that you can own, but they are more than a full kilogram lighter than my old set. In my book, they are a steal for their listed price. Nice and stiff with very smooth hubs. I love the black/grey on black look, very sleek.

Not too heavy, good rollers and look far more expensive. They also arrived at my door within 2 days even though it was new year holiday. No hesitation in recommending either Merlin or Vision.
Max WoodAmazing wheel for what it is. Weight for the set is around 2kg. The brake surface is black and looks very sleek. It does come with a sticker warning that it may turn silver over time. But so far good wheel set for the price. This is my second pair due to me damaging a rim on the first, but very good value for the money.
