Mr CollinsExcellent product. I built up a Kinesis Tripster ATR frame with Ultegra components 2 years ago. Shimano did not do an ultra compact chainset at the time so I put a Praxis zayante 48/32 chainset on. The BB was rubbish and I got through 2 over 2 seasons of winter riding in Canada. The chainset was also the worse for wear after less than 2000kms. This GRX chainset is of Ultegra quality and was a doodle to fit. the Ultegra FD had to be wound right out to make up for the slightly wider chain run but it shifts flawlessly. Great product, hopefully it will last as long as my other Ultegra chainset.
Max LOLumeIt's a really nice 2x chainset . Ratios are great for longer days in the saddle or offroad adventures. Weight is quite reasonable and stiffness is as great as any Shimano offering, The only catch is to make sure you buy the appropriate front derailleur since your non-grx front won't work because of a new chainring offset.
ThomasLove this chainset! Upgraded my gravel bike from an ultegra crank with 1x (46t) Chainring and I'm so glad I did. The 48/31 works perfectly for the rolling terrain where I live, allowing me to use a normal cassette (11/34). Big improvement over the 11/42 I was running! 1x may work well for cyclocross, but feeling like your always between gears is annoying. I'll never go back!
