EmmaI bought these pedals to replace some which had been in service for a very long time. These are a great product. They are easy to clip in and out of and I've bought them again as I have these already on some of my bikes. I'm more than happy with them so bought the same product again!

ThomasIt's 105! What more is there to say? Look fantastic. Perform great. Cleats that come with the pedals I had a slight issue. Two of the yellow pads come off after the first ride but I believe that could be partly my fault.

Mr RodriguezI am graduating from an SPD pedal to my first SPD-SL pedal and felt like spending a little more on something that is good on performance and durability. So far these pedals are light, easy to install, and have served me well over a hundred miles already, they even come with the yellow cleats in the box. I quickly acclimated to the leap from SPD to SPD-SL and am better for it. I feel more comfortable pedaling out of my seat, and feel better able to put power down in a sprint and climb.
BrianHigh quality Shimano pedal. Replacing a lower tier Shimano product with close to 10,000 miles on them. Gets the job done!
MervynI like these. Cheaper than the ultegra pedals but so far I`ve not noticed any real difference in the performance now they have bedded in. Good pedals for a second bike.

M WilhelmSo far so good. The price was great, ordering was easy, and not too bad on shipping time to the US. I have only done 2 rides on the new pedals and they are comfortable and light weight. The cleat clips in easier on these than my previous pedals saving me a second or two each time I start from a stop.

DongminSwitching from a platform pedal to these spd-sl cleats was the best change I've made thus far. Pedaling with cleats on makes the riding experience much more engaging. Not only does it feel like I am engaging more muscle groups but it almost makes my pedaling buttery smooth.

Second: These pedals are proving to be everything the reviews say they are: light weight (for the price); sturdy (no noticeable flex or weaknesses); and great value (especially at Merlin's price). It feels old school (in a good way) to ride with a "Full Gruppo" 105 setup. If Shimano pedals appeal to you, don't be afraid to step-up from the 550's to the 105-7000. They won't disappoint. If you get them from Merlin Cycles, you won't be spending much more anyway.
