Castelli Aria Shell Cycling Jacket
Many wind jackets flap, slowing you down and causing a nuisance on long winding descents or high summits. The Aria Shell Jacket uses stretch and microfibre fabrics to create a close-fitting jacket that feels more like a second skin than a last-ditch attempt to stop wind chill.
The front panel of the jacket blocks wind entirely, but high stretch sleeves, sides and back allow breathability. The jacket is light enough to wear for an entire ride in mild conditions, but if the temperature does rise or the wind drops, it can be packed into its own pocket.

Mark KennyI feel every clothing review should start with a rider guide size, so, I'm 178m tall, weigh 64kgs, 30" waist, 35" chest and the SMALL in the Castelli Aria jacket fits perfectly (ie, I think Castelli are being more generous in their sizing these days and find most of their kit fits true to size, no longer a need to move up 1 or 2 sizes!) - UK weather recently has been beset with nagging winds, so this jacket has been a constant for me since it landed. The material is super thin, super lightweight but really does an excellent job, arms stay in place, no "wind rattle" nice high collar and snug waist and the innovative stretch material means, as I said above, you can stay true to size. It folds down into a tiny bundle that you don't even notice in a jersey pocket...I date from a time when we trained and raced in enormous plastic bags, looks like wind jacket wise, things have definitely moved on. 100% recommend this, don't hesitate!
