Thanks to Magicshine, we were sent an early example of the new Radar Tail Light. Shaun from Goods In has been testing it out for us and gives his thoughts below.

I’ve been lucky enough to have road tested the Magicshine (SeeMee R300) Radar Tail Light over 2 consecutive Weekends riding my usual Saturday Chainy & Sunday Cafe ride…
It was relatively easy to sync/pair with my Garmin 1030. Once you’ve set it up it works perfectly, a nice feature is the light turns on & off in sync with the Garmin head unit. The rubber strap makes it easy to fit to your seat post & has different hole settings to accommodate all the different seat post designs/sizes. I’ve crashed through a few potholes & rode across some rough road surfaces & it was still there when I got home.
This product does exactly what it says on the box… Riding with the Girlfriend behind me the unit warned me as soon as a car was in range. The alarm sounds & the dots indicating cars move up your screen and give you an indication of approaching speed of the vehicle/e-bike etc
I would definitely recommend it after road testing it, it’s value for money, it’s still no replacement for your usual shoulder check but it’s a worthwhile investment to improve your safety while riding on those quieter roads where cars can suddenly appear behind you without any warning etc…
Ride safe & keep Pedalling
