From starting off producing bicycle tyres, Maxxis has diversified into tyres for motor cars, caravans, trailers, race karts, mowing and 4×4 Off Road vehicles. Maxxis is recognised as one of the top ten tyre producers in the world.
Early Days
The brand began producing tyres in 1967. Based in Taiwan, they were positioned perfectly to take advantage of Taiwan’s position of growth as it developed into the number one bicycle producing region of the World. The growth of Maxxis has expanded the company to over 30,000 staff worldwide. They have facilities in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and Dubai. Maxxis ship tyres into 170 countries around the world.

Technology Development
Currently Maxxis have five advanced research facilities that are maintained in the Netherlands, Taiwan, China and the United States. These already impressive operations are undergoing further expansion. Recently, Maxxis opened research and development centres in Taiwan and Shanghai. In addition, a new facility is planned to replace the existing centre in Xiamen.
