The 2018 Merlin Malt G was a great entry-level gravel bike – it picked up some top reviews, both from our customers and magazine bike testers. The 2020 version has been updated, making it even better. The bike represents great value at £699. Here are the main improvments featured on 2020 Malt G1.

Front and rear Thru Axles make the 2020 Malt G1 more solid, helping maintain a more rigid frame / fork interface.

Hiding the cables inside the frame makes for a more uncluttered look and also protects the cables from being exposed to the elements.

The front and rear brake calipers are Flat Mount design which makes for a neater, more clean appearance.

The colour scheme on the 2020 Malt G1 takes inspiration from heavy (Grey) clouds and lush (Green) meadows, both key elements familiar to UK bike riders.

The 2020 Malt G1 features;
- Durable Aluminium Frame – Thru Axle
- Full Carbon Fork – Thru Axle
- Full Shimano Tiagra 10 Speed Groupset / Tektro Lyra brakes
- Mavic XM119 Wheels
- Kenda Kwick 35mm Tyres
- Jagwire cables
