Hot on the heels of the Malt G2 Claris last week, two more bikes in our 2021 Aluminium Gravel Bike range have arrived at Merlin HQ in Chorley.
Malt G2P Tiagra
Our mid-range aluminium gravel bike features revised frame geometry for 2021. The reliable Shimano Tiagra groupset provides solid performance through precise shifting and low ratio gearing to help get you over the toughest climbs with style.
Sweet Chassis
The G2P Tiagra has had some major upgrades from its 2020 predecessor. Along with revised frame geometry, the G2P features a light-weight triple butted frame. The fork to frame interface has also been upgraded with the head tube and fork steerer tapering from 1 1/8″ to 1.5″, this makes for a more ‘surefooted’ front end, ideal for when the going gets rough. Also new for 2021 is the super-tough 25mm wide Merlin RDA-1 wheelset. This light yet tough rolling chassis combination is connected together with 12mm thru axles.
Components
Shimano Tiagra components are both reliable and stylish. With trickle down features from Shimano’s upper level groupsets, Tiagra features reliability as well as smart looks. The 34 / 50 Chainset combines with an 11 – 32 cassette to provide a wide selection of gears to ensure a diverse range of terrain can be tackled. Tektro cable activated disc brakes offer consistant, reliable braking performance in all conditions.

In addition to the lightweight frameset and tougher wheels, it’s also the little details which shine through with this bike, including the KMC chain, Jagwire cables and the hard wearing Shimano HG500 cassette.
